This site show cases Jan Bates portfolio of reborn baby dolls, each reborn doll is hand made with tender loving care. The art of reborning involves making dolls look as life like as possible.

Every reborn baby doll is artistically created from a soft vinyl kit, which have been sculpted by reborn sculptors and produced in limited quantities for reborn artists.

The reborn baby kits consist of a plain vinyl head, two arms and two legs; the artist hand paints these limbs using several layers of heat set paint.

Hair is hand rooted hair, eyelashes and eyes are applied by hand to help achieve a unique Reborn baby.

The baby’s limbs are weighted, the baby’s soft body is weighted and filled to give a more realistic feel, then the reborn is then assembled with lots of love and care for a realistic lifelike baby doll.

Reborn baby dolls are utilised for a variety of different purposes ie:- Shop displays both on the high street and online, photographic purposes, films, television, baby bereavement counselling.
